I typically wear a size 10.5 (US) dress shoe, but had to use an 11.5 size for these. My experience with all Nike brand shoes is that they run a bit smaller. What I can't believe is how comfortable these shoes are for me. I spent a lot of time trying to replace my old Nike trainers and was delighted to finally come upon this product. Nike significantly lightened the product and for whatever reason I feel I can run slightly faster as a result. I also like the stability when I land and it doesn't twist on you like something with a more aggressive tread, so I can use them for cross training in the gym, as well. The length of the shoelaces are curious. I bought 45" ones to replace the black ones, and 45" seemed a bit short. When I compared them to the laces on the shoe, the new ones were identical, so perhaps it was the way I laced them. I think 54" laces might just be a bit long. Anyway, I'm really glad I came across this shoe and plan to buy a spare pair as backup.

Let me make something clear ...

I don't know what is the ideal type of shoe for me. I haven't tested my running nor have I've had the counsel of a specialist.

If I were to do that, I would still not be running and reading reviews online.

That being said, I've checked a few review sites, this ranked high, the price is decent ($100) so I've went for it. I'm satisfied. They are great for running and if in most other type of shoes I'd feel pain in minutes, I can run 30 minutes in these. Yes, I feel like fainting and my heart is beating out of my chest but my ankle, my leg muscles, my knee are all good.

It feels really good in the feet (which is not what I can say about ASICS) and they are extremely light-weight. I simply enjoy them. Ironically, I don't like walking with them so much but they make the "torture" of preparing for a marathon a lot easier.

Are they worth $100 when you can find running shoes at $50?

Look ... I'm running and I'm sticking to it. The truth is that as long as I'm doing this, it can cost $1000 and they're worth it. I've tried many types of running shoes before and these are the first ones to fit so well and to feel so comfortable that I've actually stuck with running.

That's a win in my book.
